💡 Our Technical Review in summary
Microsoft has resolved an incident that prevented users in the North America region from accessing the Microsoft 365 admin center and the Microsoft 365 app. The issue was caused by a recent update to the redirection service’s caching mechanisms, which led to elevated resource utilization and CPU spikes. The service has been fully restored following the reversion of the change and targeted service restarts.
During the incident window (February 10, 2026, 1:56 PM – 4:25 PM UTC), impacted users in North America experienced the following:
- Inability to access the Microsoft 365 admin center.
- Inability to access the Microsoft 365 app.
- Degraded functionality for users who could log in, including the inability to raise support tickets through the admin portal.
Resolved. The service is operating normally. Microsoft has published a Post-Incident Report (PIR) detailing the root cause and long-term preventative measures. Admins can access the full report via the Service Health Dashboard.
