- Audit Metadata: Microsoft recommends that the AEM library contains at least 1,000 images with high-quality metadata (keywords, titles, and alt-text). Copilot relies on this metadata to search for and select relevant images based on user prompts.
- Internal Communication: Notify design and marketing teams about the integration to ensure the AEM library is curated for AI consumption.
- Update Documentation: If your organization provides internal guides for PowerPoint or brand asset usage, update them to include instructions on selecting the organization’s image source within Copilot.

Once setup is complete, users can select the New Slide with Copilot icon in the PowerPoint ribbon, enter a prompt, and choose their preferred image source—either Microsoft 365 images or their organization’s branded image library—via the Image Source menu.
Note: We recommend enabling this feature only if your image library contains more than 1,000 images with robust metadata.
